For more than 90 years — since our founding in Ames, Iowa in 1933 — Todd & Sargent has built the physical infrastructure that moves grain from field to market, transforms raw commodities into food and feed products, and converts agricultural materials into renewable energy. Our industry knowledge runs deep: we understand the equipment, the processes, the regulatory environment, and the operational economics of each sector we serve.
Grain Facilities
Commercial grain elevators, grain storage, drying systems, and rail and port terminals. We build the complete handling infrastructure — concrete bins, steel bins, leg systems, receiving pits, loadout, and truck and rail receiving.
Feed & Flour Processing
Feed manufacturing plants, pellet mill facilities, flour mills, corn mills, and other grain milling operations. From receiving to finished product loadout and packaging, we design and build complete processing facilities for the animal feed and milling industries.
Pet Food Manufacturing
Dry extruded kibble facilities, wet retort plants, and specialty pet food production facilities. Todd & Sargent has been building pet food manufacturing plants since the Iams Company project in Aurora, Nebraska — the first of many successful pet food projects in our portfolio.
Oilseed Processing
Soybean crushing plants, canola processing facilities, and oilseed extraction operations. Todd & Sargent completed its first oilseed processing facility in 2003 and has built a growing portfolio of oilseed projects since. Our industrial projects team, with 20+ years of oilseed and industrial processing experience, brings specialist expertise to these complex facilities.
Corn Milling
Dry corn milling facilities producing grits, meal, flour, and masa harina, as well as wet corn milling plants for starch, corn syrup, starch, and alcohol production. Our grain processing heritage translates directly to the structural, mechanical, and millwright demands of corn milling facility construction.
Biofuels & Renewable Energy
